AIESEC Chandigarh – an organisation to empower the youth of tricity, had set up “Youth Speak Forum” hosted by Start up Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC), INDIA on 5th September at ISB – Indian School Of Business, Mohali. “Youth Speak Forum” provided a platform to share business ideas, inventions and research. It also provided young aspirant entrepreneurs, with an opportunity to understand the startup ecosystem hereby breaking the myths and stereotype attitude. The event began with SWASTIK – (the band) captivating the youth of the city with their performance. The very first entrepreneur was Mr. Manipal DHariwal, CEO, Netsmartz inc., USA and also Chairman, SEBiz Square. He talked about the breakthrough of employment in City Beautiful since 1970’s-80’s. It was then followed by was Mr. Manoj Manoja, Data Evangelist who talked about the Big Data Analytics and Hadoop.
Next in line was a progressive talk amongst the panelists and the youth present. The panelists involved of Mr Danish Ashraf, who cracked Civil Services Exam at the age of 22 and presently is a part of Government Administration in making Chandigarh – The Smart City; Mr Daljeet Gujral, President of INSCOL Canada; Ms Priya Jagat, Owner of The Vanity Box Studio, Whispering Willows, The Backpackers Cafe; Mr Yatin Thakur, Founder, Coworkin, largest chain of Coworking spaces in India and Startup Business Plan @Techstars,
They enlightened the gathering by encouraging the procedure of implementing an idea in order to achieve the goal through their vision.

Next was Mr Rehan Poncho, Arjuna Awardee and 5-time Indian Swimming Champion, currently a professional golfer, aiming at becoming the only person who would represent his nation twice in Olympics in two different Sports.He was followed by Mr Harpal Singh, CEO of J.W. Marriot . Academically he is a mechanical engineer but he also has to his credit a World record in LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS of constructing 10-floor earthquake resistance, energy efficient building in 48 hours with more of techniques deployed in. The building is totally an Indian product. He also directed ways to overcome our fears with full confidence in oneself and God.

Followed by him was Ms Gitika Taraporewala, MD, Creisse Communications Inc, Mumbai who talked about the procedure and vision of product branding. To break the ice, the forum ended up with a workshop on emotional quotient headed by Dr Anjana Sen which aimed at progressing towards increased self awareness, confidence and empathy among entrepreneurs that would develop in 5-10 years down the line. The event gave them recognition and proved as key motivator for the Youth of Tricity to come up with competent entrepreneurs in distinct fields.
