‘Virasat 2k17’ Pins Its Legacy With Mankirat Aulakh And Swastik The Band


The most awaited fest of GGDSD College, ‘Virasat 2K17′, pinned their victory at 10:00AM on March 25th, 2017, graced by the presence of Deepinder Singh, Honourable Principal Secretary (Transport) Punjab Govt.; Dr. Bhushan Kumar Sharma, Principal GGDSD College and the President of the SD society, Shri Upkar Krishna Sharma.

image-1The event commenced with the solo performances, with Bhavdeep Romana and Hardik as anchors for the event, leaving the audience spell-bound. Not only did the solo performances won hearts but also the various dance teams from best of all the fest got the audience shaking a leg. The main attractions of the fest were the  dance competition and Mr. and Ms. Virasat.

The main star attraction Mankirat Aulakh arrived and gave a stellar performance. The crowd went completely wild on the famous song ‘Gallan Mithiyan’. The teachers too could not control themselves and were seen enjoying his performance. The crowd maximised when Aulakh took to the stage. The punjabi singer was a complete package dancing to his own beats and giving everyone a performance to remember.

image-4The prizes were distributed to the winners for the various competitions. Principal delivered a thanks-giving note to the chief guest and informed about the NAAC gradation. It was a matter of great pride that GGDSD College is marked as A+ in the gradation.

Later, ‘Swastik The Band’ took over with their heart warming performance as the students were left mesmerised. Swastik performed for more than an hour and the crowd accompanied them by cheering out loud while the band performed.

The fest was a huge success, owing to the firm determination of the participants and the needless to say. ‘Virasat 2017’ ended with a Bang thus increasing the expectations for ‘Virasat 2018’ as well as the seasons of fest in the college.
