UILS Students Perform Street Play


Final Year students of University Institute of Legal Studies performed a street play at Naya Gaon today. The play related to Environmental issues and was performed by 30 students. This was done as part of the Legal Aid Project undertaken by University Institute of Legal Studies in collaboration with the State Legal Services Authority. This play was also performed in support of and under the aegis of Panjab University’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Team which has been pursuing the national campaign locally. UILS has taken the initiative to play an integral role in making this endeavour successful and this is just first in line of a number of events and activities that will be held for this purpose.

It is only the first phase of the Legal Aid Project that comprises the street plays and the second phase comprising the training of the para-legal volunteers has already concluded. The third phase will be starting on 1st October wherein students will address schools across the Tricity with regard to a number
