UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw 2015-16 announced; Messi and Sasichonoured


For all the football fans around Chandigarh, the biggest and the grandest debacle in European club football that you all have been waiting for, The UEFA Champions League has come alive yet again. Now that the qualifying stages have culminated, and the ten qualifying teams have joined the previously qualified 22 teams, and the UCL draw is out, the real action is set to take place from 15th September 2015.

During this event, Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona was given the UEFA best player in Europe award(second time in his career) for the season of 2014-15, CristianoRonaldo and Luis Suarez came second and third, and the recently retired Celia Sasic of FFC Frankfurt won the UEFA best women’s player in Europe award,followed by Amandine Henry who came second and Sasic’s former club mate Dzsenifer Marozsan who came third.

The fans are expecting tough race to the round of 16, stakes are high on teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, FC Porto, Juventus, Wolfsburg, Manchester City and Paris-Saint Germain. While, on the other hand it will be interesting to see how the debutant teams perform.
