Sweet Taste of Victory for the alliance of SOI, INSO, NSO, GGSU, YOI and HIMSU

The students of Punjab University have expressed their hearts and minds by electing the student parties with whom their faith lies. The students have painted the university with saffron inside out voicing their whole hearted support in the favor of the SOI alliance and declared it victorious with their votes and support breaking the monotony of speculations doing rounds with NSUI wearing the crown for the third time in a row. The SOI alliance emerged as the ultimate winner, sweeping the charts with its gigantic win, with a vote bank which left students and the party members gaping and stunned. The President, Jasmeen Kang, won with a huge margin of 1436 votes, the Vice President, Preeti Negi, with an unbeatable margin of 1688 votes whereas the General Secretary, Rishi Bhardwaj and Joint Secretary, Swati Tiwana won with a margin of 945 and 993 votes respectively for their respective posts. The party and its alliance makes history as after many years a time has come where all the four posts, namely of the President, Vice President, General Secretary and Joint Secretary, from a single alliance will be constituting the council. The figures are speaking for themselves and the SOI alliance has proved their mettle giving other parties a tough chase for the throne. The air of the university is filled with joy and celebrations as the student’s voice have given them the leaders of their own choice. A new term, a new face for student’s representation, a new beginning, new promises and new agendas make their way through the gates of the university. A flourishing term awaits the parties in power to work for the student’s welfare and taking it to a new level altogether. We wish our heartiest congratulations to the winning parties SOI, INSO, NSO, GGSU, YOI and HIMSU and hope that they bring about a pleasant change in the arena of student politics and the promises made by them are honored well in time.
