Surfing the Digital Wave With ‘Chandigarh Surfers’

On April 16, 2017 Chandigarh witnessed the mega-event ‘Chandigarh Surfers’. Sabonclick in association with Rotaract Club Shivalik organized this event of exploration in the Sports Complex, Sector 7 Chandigarh.
The main idea behind the event was to escalate the helpline number, ‘78500-78500. The number provides redressal to solve problems in the entire Tricity, irrespective of the person’s age, caste, creed or gender. Any sort of problem can be solved by just a single call. Rotaract Club Chandigarh Shivalik and SabonClick aimed at spreading this number as much as they can with ‘Chandigarh Surfers’, so that people suffering from any kind of problem can be helped and provided with a solution. And indeed, the turnout was a proof to their success.

The event consisted a treasure hunt competition. All the participating teams visited different places across the city to find latter clues and perform the further activities allotted to them, in order to win. The participants could advance to the next level only via clues. Unlike other treasure hunts, they were given the liberty to use their phones to solve the mystery.
8 Activities, 5 Places, 5 Signatures, 1 Hunt was the motto of the Rotaract Club Shivalik in the spine-thrilling competition.
Event took flight with a brief introduction stating the event and rules for the game. To break the ice, an amazing performance was organized by the New Age Band which made everyone tap their feet.

The treasure-hunt kicked off with highly enthusiastic teams, each team comprising of 2-5 people, rushing towards their clues. Many prizes, comprising of gift vouchers and coupons were won by the teams who left no stone unturned.
The event filled the participants with enthusiasm. The Rotaract Club Chandigarh Shivalik looks forward to help more and more people to bring light in their lives, with the helpline number just another of their attempt.
