She lost him forever

I stumbled upon an old book

With a rose in it,
It smelled of solitude and freedom
At the same time
The darkened yellow pages of the book and the dried petals of the rose
Both forming together something my words fail to explain
But it made me ponder on how their journey had begun together,
At different places though
Both originated from the same source
One a scenic beauty,the other a literary
One an artist’s creation
The other,inspiration
How love formed those words typed in the novel,
And how the lover brought the rose
Both have lost luster,
But the words sparkle my spirits
While the rose,my heart
Page 244, Red rose
Beneath the sepals,
And the dried up tear stains
It read
“She lost him forever”
