The very famous Radio Jockey of Chandigarh RJ Pankaj enlightened the students of journalism with his presence in college on Monday, 14th September. RJ Pankaj, who is popularly known for his show “Yaaron ki gedi” on 92.7 BIG FM, had an interactive session with the students and the faculty of the journalism department of the college.
He shared about his initial days in the college and about all the challenges he used to face when he opted this career. RJ Pankaj provided the students with a practical insight into the field of radio journalism, and emphasized that being a radio jockey is not everyone’s cup of tea, and added that for becoming an RJ you need to effectively communicate what you want to express, because in radio the tools of expression are not your body and face but merely, your voice.
Various activities were done to make the students understand the importance of voice modulation, thereby advising all the aspiring RJs to make their voice their USP, and be credible in their information. He shared his views and experiences about the radio industry and even talked about the job prospects associated with the same.
RJ Pankaj painted a beautiful picture depicting radio journalism. The students very much enjoyed the session and asked career-oriented questions from him. It turned out to be a fun session, with a blend of lots of humor and information.
