PU Mock AIPPM Initiates Rounds of Discussion


The first edition of PU Mock AIPPM, a platform that brought all the inspirational political experts into a room to help them engage with each other in some meaningful discussions, commenced on January 21st, 2017 in Panjab University. Veterans who have taken arms to defend the country in their bright days from past were present to enlighten the young minds.

Retd. Lt. Gen. K.J. Singh, Retd. Lt. Gen. T.K Sapru, Retd. Lt. Gen. Gurdip Singh, Col. V.K. Singh and Professor Dutta were among the dignitaries present on the day. With almost 70 delegates from various age groups, the youngest was the students of Class 6 from St. John’s School.

The first session started after 11:00am and delegates discussed various heated issues like foreign relations, diplomacy, international issues driven by national interests, articles 370 and 371 governing the states of Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern States respectively. Delegates showcased exquisite knowledge and zeal which made the morning session before lunch all the more interesting.

The Kashmiri Pandits, the Separatists, state of education in the country, the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, particularly Sadh-Bhawna and the present state of Kashmir were the most debated upon topics.

Ending the first session under the au fait guidance of the esteemed jury the delegates were able to have a learning experience of a lifetime and put forward their concise opinions.
