PSY-Fi: A Wave of Change


PSY- Fi which came out to be a success was organised on March 26th, 2017 by Jigyasa Tandon and Meghna Sangwan as its founder.

The Psychology based event mainly focused on mental health, stress and depression faced by almost 7 Crore people of the total population of our country. The event was an eye opener towards mental health awareness. One of the prominent speakers of the event was Ms. Unman Singh, who is an Assistant Professor at MCM DAV College and junior research fellow at PU. Singh opened up about the stigma attached with mental illness and discussed about ‘Positive Psychology’ which includes positive emotion, engagements, relationships, meaning and accomplishment. Anchoring for the event was beautifully taken care of by Anmol Dosanjh and hospitality by Arushi Pawar. The next speaker for the show was Ms. Divya Jyoti who is an Assistant Professor at MCM DAV College and a JRF at PU. She highlighted about Creative Insight and boosted the audience by mentioning that we are the miniature replica of this universe.

There were ample of fun filled activities which engaged the people throughout. Isha Bajaj, whose heartfelt personal experience brought tears in the eyes of the audience, won the hearts of all. Miss Aashna Narula, founder of Psychopedia also the winner of Women’s Achiever award 2017 shared her success story and inspired young minds. Her beautiful thoughts about love and relationships kept the audience engrossed.

People of all age comprised the audience. Young Achievers like Mr. Arvind, working as a Scientist with ISRO and Mr. Lakshya, founder of shared their stories, the one which young generation could easily relate to. They also highlighted the importance of volunteering and participation in social service. The quote which caught the attention of the audience was ‘Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of light’. The event ended on a good note with refreshments from Super Donuts which left smiles on everyone’s face.
