“The main motto of the fest is to show UIAMS holding an important position in Panjab University on the map of Chandigarh”, as quoted by Deepika , a student of UIAMS.
The second day (February6,2016) of PRAZNIK began with the PANEL DISCUSSION on ‘MAKE-IN-INDIA’. In this discussion, the chief guests- young Entrepreneurs and CEOs of Chandigarh like Samir Sharma, Kshitij Mehra, J.D. Ghai, Vineet Khurana and Abhinav Aggarwal discussed about Pros and Cons of starting up a business addressing issues related to it like Funds arrangement, Experience, Education, etc. Their special focus was on the Fear of failure and expectations. They concluded by emphasizing on their motto “Bake your own cake”. The students audience were answered for various questions and given a healthy dose of inspiration. It was organized by Rasleen, Upender, Astha and Sachin ( students from Retail and banking course).
The next event was Graphique, in which participants displayed their artistic skills by making posters on the theme ‘Green choice v/s Red choice’ challenging the creativity of the students. It was organized by Ravneet and Sana.
Then there was the ‘AD-MAD’ event in which the participating teams were given props like tomato ketchup, toothpaste, salt packet, nail paint and trolley bag on the spot.Students put on their acting hats and performed with great confidence.
Another event was ‘Star Tank’, an Entrepreneurship Event in which the students showcased various presentations on the different aspects of Entrepreneurship.
The next event was the “Best Manager” in which the participants had to apply their management and analytical knowledge as well as skills in Group Discussions (GDs) to win the Best Manager trophy
A team of students of UIAMS presented a ‘Nukad Natak’ (street play) on the theme of social issues at the student centre (STU-C) highlighting the cry of the victims of social evils
The titles of Mr. and Miss Praznik were won by Hitesh and Shaina respectively. The casual and ethnic walk followed this competition.
VOGUE, the fashion show competition was won by UIDS and the runners up were the hosts UIAMS. The main attractions were DJ Rajat and FC Khan that made everyone groove to their music.
Praznik still has the ‘Star night’ with stars like Inder Nagra, Jassi Gill and Babbal Rai’s performance in store for tomorrow. Be there!
