Chandigarh is one of those cities which are always brimming with talent. Justifying the same, the much awaited talent-hunt event, Dynamite- ‘the road to Sparkles’, started on February 3rd, 2017 at the Law Auditorium, Panjab University only to raise the expectations for the second day of the event, on February 4th, 2017.
The Guest of Honor Dr. Varinder Garg, (OSD to President PGI) praised the participants for their talent. The judge’s panel included Rinku Khan, Stanley and Aditi Sharma. Dynamite, a pre-event of Sparkles, witnessed massive participation of over 90 students of Chandigarh. It was organized by Navsankalp, a student-run organization doing a noble work of financially aiding the PGI patients. The organization was founded by Dr. Harpriya Kaur, in DAV College in the year 2006 and has organized mega charity events across the tricity to raise funds since then.
After lamp lighting ceremony by the judges and faculty, followed by National Anthem, the competitions started. Hosts of the day were Ananya and Isha who guided the event quite splendidly. The competitions included singing, mimicry, dance, stand-up comedy, modeling and anchoring. The performance of the famous band ‘Junoon‘ of DAV College got the crowd on a rush. Solo, duet and group dances were riveting, which also displayed the broad spectrum of participation. In between the performances the filler acts for the audience were also done. The intensity and seriousness of the contest was evident when it was being judged by super-talented personalities like Miss Chandigarh herself.
Bhavdeep Romana, who will be hosting Sparkles 2k17 expressed his gratitude to the organizers of Dynamite and invited everyone to Sparkles 2k17 which will be held on February 10th, 2017 at Leisure Valley. And the star attraction will be Chandigarh’s favorites, Hardy Sandhu and Zora Randhawa.
“Dynamite is all about discovering ourselves and it does not just end here. The participants get to perform in front of thousands of people in Sparkles, hich is just the right opportunity for aspiring artists,” said Palak Malhotra, PRO Navsankalp.
“Dynamite has been a startup for many renowned artists including Stanley and Bhavdeep Romana. It’s the best stage to bring together and explore the talent,” said Iram, voicing the audience.
The team of Navsankalp had managed the event with such remarkable efforts that they truly deserve an ovation. The participants selected in these two days of auditions will be performing in Sparkles 2k17 and have their hopes high for that and the audience, well, can’t wait for the this mega-charity event. The uproar of this explosion of talent will be heard soon across tri-city in Sparkle 2k17.
