MCM Refuses to be a Litterbug


The Cleanliness Committee of MCM DAV College, Chandigarh conducted a cleanliness campaign in the college campus, on 22nd September 2016.

All members of the committee were dressed in white, symbolizing cleanliness. The event began with a small interactive session with the students. It was followed by fun games, including tongue twisters, synonyms and antonyms associated with the topic. Not only were these engaging, but these also tested the student’s knowledge on hygiene.

One of the students from the college, Astha proffered, “Cleanliness to us means a better life, a happier and healthier one.” The campaign was not limited to only that, the members of the Cleanliness Committee displayed colorful posters, giving out the message of cleanliness. A few budding poets of MCM spoke their poetry which was woven around the day’s theme to sensitize the audience regarding the immense importance of cleanliness in our lives.

The President Cleanliness Committee, MCM DAV College, Saundharaya Khanna, spoke to the students about the importance of cleanliness and how everyone together can make a huge difference. This was followed by a march, with students singing slogans together, to promote a cleaner campus.

The sound of Haath se haath milana hai, MCM swacch banana hai” echoed in the campus, giving the message of the impending cleanliness revolution, that will positively take over MCM in the days to come.

Another student present during the event, Himani Sharma opined, “Cleanliness is next to godliness and a cleaner campus not only promotes good health, but also brings positivity and reduces negativity around.”
