It’s that time of the year- Are you keeping yourself healthy?

Chilly winters, when you want to do nothing but cozy up in the blanket all day, adorn adorable hoodies, feed yourself with lots of coffee and wait for Christmas while you surround yourself with peace and solace. Such a rosy picture, with everything seeming just so perfect!

Sorry to be the party-pooper and shun down your happy paradise by dawning upon the already stark yet bitter truth- EXAMS! Flooding yourself with a plethora of colas, packet of chips has just become a cliché. But don’t you worry, here’s presenting a list of both affordable and easy to prepare power snacks to keep you motivated and energized, while taking care of your health quotient. After all, healthy is the new cool!

1.) Roasted Chickpeas

Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees. Rinse the chickpeas. When dry, roast them in the oven for 45-60 minutes. Toss with olive oil and seasonings like cheese, onion, oregano, spices and there you go! A crunchy power snack that will not only keep you going through at least two chapters but also sneak protein and fiber into your diet!

2.) Multigrain Flatbread Cracker

Lightly spread cheese on a flatbread cracker or any salty biscuits and top with almonds, dates and a drizzle of honey. You’re guaranteed to have good study session while your taste buds relish every bit of this exquisite dish.

3.) Peanut Butter Honey Yogurt Dip with Apples

In a small bowl, combine yogurt, peanut butter and honey. Stir until combined and smooth. Serve with apple slices or any other fruit. This exotic dish is not just super easy to make but also comes with the rich nutritional value contained by the apples. I bet you won’t be able to resist it.

4.) Toast with Cottage Cheese & Cherry Tomatoes

Pop some wheat or wholegrain bread in the toaster. Spread on some cottage cheese, slice some cherry tomatoes in half and add some pepper and oregano. Another healthy and protein-rich treat to keep you full and focused!

5.) Cheese Cucumber Sandwiches

Pair the slices of low-fat cheese with slices of cucumber. The water and crunch of the cucumber balances the richness and salt in the cheese and has fewer calories than full-fat cheese and crackers. So, what are you waiting for? Curb your carbs by grabbing yourself some intake of this delicious crunch to munch!
