DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh becomes the first college affiliated to the Panjab University to offer MBA course in the city beautiful. Yes, you read it right. DAVC has added another course to it’s gigantic list of courses, and the new course is none other than Master of Business Administration (MBA) under the Institute of Management (IOM).
MBA offered at IOM will be same as that offered in the UBS. To start the MBA course in the college, IOM took the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UBS’s collaboration, which is a big job itself. Students in the NAAC recommended MBA program, which will now be provided with the best teaching staff headed by Dr. Sarika Mahendru and a team of intellectuals from in and out of the city to give workshops on regular basis. First year in the course will be a mixture of various subjects but in the second year, a specialisation will be chosen by the students themselves from Finance, Marketing, and HR. A very sophisticated program has been formed so as to provide students with the best care of their career.
Dr. B. C. Josan, Principal of DAV College, showed immense pleasure in announcing the very delightful news. When interviewed, he told, that DAV College has always been one of the prime institutes of the northern India and has left not a single stone unturned in providing better education to it’s students. Also the new course will be a big boost to the college’s reputation, as it is only because it’s capabilities that it is able to offer such a prestigious course. Sir further told that students these days are going towards money-hungry private universities, due to lack of seats in the better institutes, which are unable to provide a better scope of life to them. Looking at that, the college aims at providing the best education by the means of best infrastructure facilities, best Professors and the best placements. Dr. B. C. Josan concluded by saying “a student can grow only when he is awarded with an opportunity and here, at IOM, the opportunity is waiting for them.”
Focusing on quality over quantity, MBA course at IOM has 60 seats only. With average fees being as less as possible so that it is affordable by all, that is around Rs. 82,000 per semester.
