Completing yet another leg of their campaign “Let’s Unite for India”, a blood donation drive was organized by ‘I Am Still Human’ at Western Command Hospital, Chandimandir on January 14th, 2017.
“Let’s Unite for India” is a campaign undertaken by the NGO ‘I Am Still Human’. The campaign involves delivering of motivational letters to all commands in the army and blood donations held in various command hospitals to meet the requirement of blood in the army.
Going by which, blood donations were made from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm in the blood donation drive, where a total of 120 people volunteered, and 100 units of blood collected.
The event started with the youngest members of IASH, 8 year old Pari and Angel presenting paintings to the advisory member of IASH Lt. Gen KJ Singh (retd.) PVSM AVSM. Other important members include Lt Gen Prem Nath Hoon (retd.) PVSM AVSM SM- current Advisor of Security and Defence, Bobby Singh- State Awardee Social Activist who donated blood for the 60th time today, Manan Vohra- batsman of kings XI Punjab, Jaskaran King- Punjab Team,
Harshita Chaarag, Manjinder Singh, Naaz Arora and more.
IASH is also going to hold an event called ‘Umeed’ in order to collect funds that will directly go for the casualties of Indian soldiers. It will take place at IMA Complex, Sector 25, where transactions of the funds will be made.
For those who missed the opportunity to contribute this time, the next IASH Blood Donation Drive is expected to be in Southern Command, three months later.
