Hypocrisy: A Two Sided Tale

“Smile, because it confuses people. Smile, because it is easier than explaining what is killing you inside.”
While reading this quote, I realized that it is a mere anatomy of hypocrisy whereby one is coaxed to conceal one’s true side. And not only this, there are many more belonging to the same lot. Hypocrisy is basically lacking the will power to live up to your own ideals, not practicing what you preach.
I am unable to digest the fact that, it has become much easier to be a hypocrite rather than being a person of individual identity. Every person has altogether a new side or new aspect to reveal in front of every novice person they come across. It has become difficult in the present spectrum of time to be fair minded. We all are hypocrites (cowards in the literal sense). The fact is that, it is easier to pretend to be what you are not than, to hide what you really are. Digging a bit deeper, we tend to adopt this form of demeanor fearing the adjudicate people in our vicinity.
Believe you me, most of us really have no vague idea about our own selves as we are so engrossed in putting up another façade to please the world. And the need of the hour is certainly self-introspection. Wherein we all out contemplate about our own character and personality.
The truth is that every person has a double face, some use it for themselves and some use it for others. But, we need to understand who all are worth it. And the fact of the matter is that every veil secretly desires to be lifted, except the veil of hypocrisy.
On a concluding note, I would just say that God has given you one face and please do not tend to make yourself another.
