When it comes to movies, there is a range of genre that one can experiment with. You can go all romantic or watch a sci-fi, or even some comedy to lighten up your day. Not just that different people carry different taste, but a few even prefer the old school movies till date. Here let’s talk about 5 must watch Hollywood romantic movies.

Romance? Well, it’s this feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love! Following are the 5 must watch movies, that’ll get your love senses charged!

1) P.S I Love You:

psi love
This is a somewhat sad movie that deals with loss and grief. It isn’t a straightforward romantic comedy. The messages shared by the movie, such as that you should tell the people you care about that you love them, before it’s too late and that you should live life to the fullest; are admirable and its characters are goodhearted. But there’s a fair amount of strong language, some frank talk about sex, and partial nudity. The movie also seems obsessed with getting the main character, Holly, hooked up with another man, as if that’s the only fix for the widowed heart.

Ultimately, it’s a lightweight attempt to imbue lightness onto a dark subject. The moral of the story? Widowhood isn’t funny. At least not in this film.

2) The Fault in our Stars:

“It’s a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don’t give it the power to do its killing.” This comes from a heart breaking love story of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters. Both of them start as friends and their relationship deepens, finally transforming into love, in the stunning city of Amsterdam. But their love story comes to a tragic end, as both of them are suffering from cancer. Augustus leaves Hazel all alone bringing the movie to an end and leaves the message, “You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, but you have some say in who hurts you” and Hazel Grace loved her choice.

3) A Walk To Remember:

walkto rem
“I held her close to me with my eyes closed, wondering if anything in my life had ever been this perfect and knowing at the same time that it hadn’t. I was in love, and the feeling was even more wonderful than I ever imagined it could be. She was, in other words, the kind of girl who made the rest of us look bad, and whenever she glanced my way, I couldn’t help but feel guilty, even though I hadn’t done anything wrong.” I need not say more on this beautifully written script that draws us to the screen peeking in, with immense delight, sorrow and happiness all at the same time.

4) The Vow:

the Vow
Talking about the seven ages of love, I am always reminded of ‘The Vow.’ Leaving her parents back, Paige decides to move on with Leo, facing the daily problems but promising each other more of love and loyalty. The twist enters the story when Paige meets with an accident and is unable to recall what happened in previous years. With the memory loss, Paige is forced by her parents to believe that she is unmarried; while Leo tries all his level best to make her believe otherwise. At first he doesn’t succeed, but then at last she does tell him, “I hope one day I can love the way that you love me.” To which then Leo replies, “You figured it out once– you’ll do it again.”

5) Love and Other Drugs:

love and other drugs
Two souls surviving their lives and thinking of doing better. Where Jamie meets Maggie, a Parkinson patient who happens to survive on her pills. They meet each other at a hospital, where he makes sure to never let her go out of his sight. Trying to get her fine, promising her of being there through thick and thin, he kind of loses her and where at the end he tells, “And sometimes, the thing you never expect, does. Like giving up my job in Chicago and everything and deciding to stay and apply to med school. I don’t know. You meet thousands of people and none of them really touch you. And then you meet one person and your life is changed, forever.”

These heart touching movies does bring tears in my eyes and leave me touched. But makes me and other girls believe that yes, there can be a prince charming and we all deserve one.
