On the morning of 21st of December, 2017 four mega earthquakes took place in India, epicentre being Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. Having Ritcher scale of earthquakes being 6, 6.5, 6.3 and 6.4 respectively. Fortunately, Universities like Panjab University, Delhi University, etc were conducting their examinations at that time, and students who were giving examination were asked to evacuate the examination hall.
A big decision has been taken by the Government of India that all the students who were giving exam at that time are to be offered 100% grace marks under ‘act of god’ law. Universities all over the nation have shown their condolences and supported the Modi sarkaar’s decision.
One of the spokesperson from Panjab University said, “The University highly pity the students who could not complete their examinations. We are aware of students’ endless studies and the night lamps that our students have exhausted. We will definitely not let their efforts go in vain. We will provide them with 100% grace no matter what. Students, we are with you.”
Students reaction to this earthquake has been that of a rollercoaster in emotions. Some students have started approaching the god, with a petition to ban earthquake from earth during exams season, others are highly grateful to the government for offering these grace marks to the students.
Vineet Bhatia, one of the students, said, “We, as students need only three things in life, namely, oil in the lamp, books, and a study table. When we sit to give our examinations, it is the most amazing feeling in the world, but when they try to it away from us, we are hurt. I would like to thank our authorities and the government for providing us with 100% grace marks, a re-test would have been enough though.”
The authorities and the government are being praised by all the students all over the nation. Now there is a special bond which both the sides share. Let’s hope that we are able to see more earthquakes and more grace marks.
Disclaimer: Bogus Bulletin is our own way of spreading rumors with some believably fake news. There are kids, who wish for an easy exam; there are adults who wish to have a lenient invigilator; then there are legends, who wish for an earthquake and 100% grace; and I am one of those. We all have somehow wished for an earthquake in this long examination session. Oh, exams please leave.
