Conference on ‘Drug and Development’ in UILS


International Conference on the theme of ‘Drug and Development’ concluded today at
the University Institute Of Legal Studies(UILS), Panjab University(PU). International Conference comprised of two technical sessions based on 8 sub-themes. As many as 350 research scholars and students from various colleges across India presented their extensive research on various themes and graced the event with their enthusiasm and energy during the two days event. The panel discussion witnessed Mr. Kunal Kishore, UNODC; Dr. R.P. Singh, Deputy Director General of Drug Control Bureau; Ms. Tripti Tandon, Deputy Director, Lawyers Collective; Dr. Biswadip Chatterjee, Assisstant Professor, NDDTC-AIIMS and Prof.
Manoj Kumar, University Business School, Panjab University as chief-guests. A formal discussion regarding the Drug menace in India took place followed by a question hour. All the participants actively participated in the discussion. The event concluded with the valedictory ceremony.
Director, UILS Prof. Sangeeta Bhalla congratulated the winners and the participants
of various events and encouraged the teacher coordinators, faculty members,
administrative staff and the students for putting forth their tremendous efforts in
making the event a grand success. The chair provided the much needed guidance and valuable advice to the teams for their future prospects.
