Chinar becomes voice of UILS


Chinar emerged as the winner “The Voice of UILS” at the University Institute of Legal
Studies (UILS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh today. The two day cultural event was
organized by UILS.

Continuing the tradition of cultural activities, the UILS Students participated in the
two day extravaganza on January 20 and 21. The students participated very
enthusiastically in the competition. The event was judged by Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma and Dr. Tijender from Department of Music, Panjab University. The Director of UILS Professor Sangita Bhalla presided over the function.

The students sang popular as well as classical songs. The musical panorama ended with
Grand Finale on 21st January. The judges of the event declared Chinar to be the winner
of the event. Second position went to Davinder and Sayed. Third position went to
Karanveer, Bahar and Anurag. The judges encouraged the participants to continue their
pursuit of music which will help them in all walks of life.
