The universal fact is that you can’t separate science from art, and artists are scientists in a way. And magic, is nothing but science undiscovered. And so, a group of Science students in the city decided to come, knit their ideas together and weave a piece of art as beautiful as ‘The Machinery’.
They call it an ode to the Art, an effort towards trying to uncover the Magic of Literature.
The Machinery is a literary collection, ventured by a group of students of the Panjab University, which was open on an international level. The first edition was launched on March 25th, that had pieces of literature (short Fiction and poetry) and art work/photography from across the globe.
The launch was graced by Mr. Khushwant Singh, the renowned novelist and a travel writer, and Mrs. Neel Kamal Puri, a well known name in the Punjab literary scene.
Mr. Khushwant Singh shared his experiences with the audience, stating that his journey began on a similar note, and he felt like he was a college student all over again. He congratulated the team of The Machinery, saying that it was a praiseworthy effort and great headstart. Mrs. Neel Kamal Puri too shared her warm experiences and words of wisdom with the youngsters, giving her own beautiful rendition and an entire new theory to the name, The Machinery.
