“Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder”
It’s simply a phrase which is based on judgement of the different people. Different people find different sights or people as pleasing or alluring. Every person have his/her own perception of reality on things. Something what you hate can be loved or liked by another person.
Some people only see outer beauty, while for others inner beauty is an asset. It’s like same actor is liked by you and you find him as most enchanting in beauty, but at the same time, your best friend has another perspective and view pertaining to his behavior. Similarly for instance, for other people my notepad would be an ordinary book which is of no use; but for me, though ten years old, now torn and faded, in it’s charm has the same value as before. It is in fact the most precious possession of mine, which I got as a gift of my success.
Further, we can find beauty in countless ways; it could be nature like flowers and sunset, some find them exotic and peace filled while for others it can be monotonous. The same house may be perfect for one and imperfect for another.
PU Mirror went on-ground to as our readers what this phrase means to them. Raghav Kalia, a BCom student of DAV College reflects, “Beauty is always evaluated by the outer beauty which in reality is deeply troublesome to many. It should be avoided at all costs and we should not judge anyone or anything by the appearance.”
So we can conclude that beauty is all about perspective or point of view. Everybody perception is different more or less and our image is based on our ideas that’s why beauty has apparent appeal.
