BCom Sees Heavy Rush, SD Most Sought After

GGDSD College once again remained one of the most sought after colleges by the students of both the categories. But this time, Government College of Commerce and Business Administration in Sector 50 (GCCBA-50) has replaced DAV College, Sector 10, as the second most preferred co-educational college in the city for the stream. The 212 seats of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32, were the first to be filled up. All of them were taken within two and a half hours of the start of counselling. Coming in second, GCCBA’s 86 seats were filled up soon after that. Girls looking for admission in the Sector 36 College were visibly stressed out while waiting for their name to be called out. By afternoon, a considerable number of MCM seats were already filled. Among government colleges, GCCBA-50 was the most preferred, while the remaining colleges had few takers.
