The Agrotech fair was inaugurated by Hon’ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee along with the guest of honour Israel President, Mr Reuven Rivlin.

The president of Israel while talking about the bond between Israel and India told about the new Hindi word ‘Jugad’ that he had just easily learnt.  He further said that “the State of Israel is jugad! And jugad is the way they think, the way they invent and the way they work.”

Exhibitors from across the globe made way for the Indian farmers who are learning modern techniques and implementing them in their own fields. Different school children from schools across Punjab did visit the fair to learn more about agriculture which made them fond of the field.

It not only exhibited farming implements, but food technology was on the cards too. Different dignitaries from various fields gathered to talk about the innovative methods that can be undertaken by the receptive farmer in India.
