Agaaz Day 1 Proves To Be a Great Success, Raises Expectations of the Students

Agaaz, powered by Skoda, the Cultural and Literary fest of Panjab University, Chandigarh commenced today, that is, on November 13th, 2017The carnival-themed fest, which is going to last for three days was inaugurated in the Law Auditorium at 12:00 noon and covers sports, fashion, literary and cultural activities.
To give a melodious start to the fest, Sursangam, a singing competition was organized. It took place at the law auditorium and started at 12:30 p.m, wherein Vikas bagged the first prize and the second and third positions were secured by Damosh Saini & Harsimran Singh Bedi, respectively.
In the literary events, creative writing competition took place in the conference hall of the Students’ Council office. The results for the same will be announced tomorrow on the facebook page of Aagaz. Alongside creative writing, a poster making competition was also organized at the Student Centre.
In the sports category, 100 m race and 200 m race took place on the ground. The winner for 100 m race was Mahipal Singh from the boys and among girls, Thinlas Zangmore became victoriousVidhanshu and Ramanjot Kaur triumphed the 200 m race.
To keep the fun and excitement of Aagaz alive, an open DJ was there at the Student Center. Both the audiences and the organizers swayed on the beats of Punjabi songs. An art exhibition was also organized at the same venue.
Talking about the fest, Vani Sood, the Secretary of Panjab University Campus Student Council said, “We are really satisfied to see the excitement and energy of students. We have worked really very hard for Aagaz and thankfully everything went as we planned. It is the first day today and the cheers of the crowd says it all. Aagaz is on a bang. We hope to maintain the same energy for the coming two days.”
The Fest has something in store for everyone from Literary & Sports events to an enticing Fashion Fiesta, Agaaz 2017 has been a huge success. So, jump on the bandwagon as the upcoming two days of Agaaz, 2017 promise to be reinvigorated with high zeal & fervor!
